Preparing parents and Godparents for the formation of their child’s faith. Classes are taught once per month, on the third Thursday of each month at 7:00pm. Registration forms must be completed prior to attending the class. Forms are available in the parish office.
This is the process by which adults, who are either unbaptized or have been baptized but have no further sacraments, prepare to be received into full communion with the Catholic Church through the Sacraments of Initiation. Many of the participants come from Protestant or Non-Christian backgrounds and they have many questions regarding our faith. RCIA is meant to be a safe place for them to ask their questions and receive answers. Thus, love and charity is the most important quality of RCIA volunteers.
Catechists are those who teach the faith to others. The majority of our catechists teach the faith to the children and youth of the parish; however, as we develop our formational activities for adults, we will begin recruting catechists who can facilitate small group studies. Currently, our catechists teach on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.
