"Adoration means entering the depths of our hearts in communion with the Lord, who makes himself bodily present in the Eucharist. In the monstrance, he always entrusts himself to us and asks us to be united with his Presence, with his risen body." - Pope Benedict XVI
Eucharistic Adoration is that special time when we come before the Lord to adore Him and to be adored by Him. We currently have a Holy Hour of Adoration ever Wednesday from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, following the 6:30 PM Mass.
As we complete our Divine Mercy Adoration Chapel, we will have Eucharistic Adoration available 24 hours a day, every day except for during Mass and during the Triduum. You will be able to spend time with Christ in the Eucharist any time. As we strive to offer Perpetual Adoration, it will be important for us to have at least 1-2 people in the Adoration Chapel at all times. If you feel a call to give of your time through prayer and adoration, please come!
Christ is waiting there to embrace you, lovingly and mercifully! You may bring your own prayer books, pray the Rosary, pray the Psalms or the Liturgy of the Hours, and meditate using Scriptures (read a passage of the Bible and ask God to let it speak to you).
You are coming to visit your best friend, pour your heart out! Tell Him about your joys and worries, thank Him, ask for guidance and strength, ask for forgiveness and intercede for others or just sit in silence and enjoy the sweet peace that comes from simply being in the Presence of God!
The Finance Council is directed by the values of the Gospel in fulfilling it's responsibilities, as well as by good business practices. Efficient and effective use and management of parish resources must be measured as much by their contribution to parish mission and ministry as by commonly accepted business standards. This body is advisory in nature or consultative in nature and exists to advise the pastor in financial matters.
This annual act of devotion stems from the customs of the earliest pilgrims to the Holy Land who used to follow the way Jesus walked during the events of his passion and death at Calvary. Every Friday during Lent, we celebrate the Stations of the Cross solemnly within the Church. On Good Friday, we celebrate a public procession with our youth from Zeke Luna Park and will conclude with the Good Friday Veneration of the Cross in the Church.
